DRINKING WATER FROM A PRIVATE WATER WELL?
There could be health risks associated with private water well consumption. The EPA does not regulate water supply from private wells as it does public supply systems. You should take special precautions when consuming private well water. Water can be contaminated from many varying sources ranging from rainwater, fertilizers, septic systems, and numerous others.
It is recommended that well water be tested each year. We offer well water testing as a stand alone service, or combine it with your home inspection for a discount. We have several water testing options available to suit your needs.

We contract with a licenced HVAC technician take a deeper look at your heating and cooling systems to help ensure that there are no hidden issues that could cost you thousands. A licensed HVAC technician has the specialty skills and tools to check Freon types and levels to ensure they are compatible with your units. They will check all fuel connections, heat exchangers, pilot lights, blower motors, induction fans, duct work, functional flow, differential temperatures, etc.

RADON GAS ANALYSIS
Radon is a radioactive gas that occurs naturally. It is tasteless, odorless and colorless. Radon is produced from the breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water. There are several methods of testing radon in your home. We use electronic radon testing to give you a timely, and accurate reading of the radon levels. The electronic radon test takes 48 hours and requires certain guidelines to be followed. Radon is present in nearly all soils. Therefore, a homeowner should not be alarmed if the presence of radon is detected. There are levels of radon that are considered harmful and would require radon mitigation.
Molds are fungi that can be found both indoors and outdoors. No one knows how many species of fungi exist but estimates range from tens of thousands to perhaps three hundred thousand or more. Molds grow best in warm, damp, and humid conditions, and spread and reproduce by making spores. Mold spores can survive harsh environmental conditions, such as dry conditions, that do not support normal mold growth.
HONEY, WHAT IS THAT SMELL?
A properly working septic tank is critical to the longevity of a home’s plumbing system. Full septic tanks, clogged drain field lines, saturated drain fields, root infiltration; these can result in costly repairs and replacement of a septic system. Replacing a septic system can cost anywhere between $3,000 and $15,000. Our licensed septic inspector will check waste and sludge levels, debris filter for blockage, distribution box condition, as well as drain field function and saturation.
While many homeowners do not know when the septic system was last pumped and cleaned, it is recommended to have this service competed every two-three years. Moving into a home with a clean and empty septic tank can alleviate the worry of unexpected backups. Should you want the septic system to be pumped at the time of inspection, we can provide that service as well.
